Saturday's weather tried to get the best of us, but I knew the bride had her heart set on an outdoor ceremony. A serious line of thunderstorms was looming, so I urged her to start her ceremony a few minutes early and asked the officiant to do an 'abridged' ceremony. Of course we had umbrellas on hand and were ready to make a run for it if needed, but I am thrilled to report that not a single guest got wet! We completed the ceremony and got everyone inside before buckets of rain started pouring down sideways. A brief flickering out of the power at the venue, and a small roof leak over table 8, quickly addressed by the venue manager and myself, rounded out the weather related fun. It will definitely make for a memorable story for this happy couple!
